Dear Friend of the Brain Injury Hope Foundation, We have had a fantastic and productive year! As you can see, the name of The Brain Trust has now been changed to the Brain Injury Hope Foundation (BIHF). Our 9th Annual Savor the Flavor of Boulder, CO event also received rave reviews from those who attended the festivities. We are most grateful to the participating restaurants who donated their delicious cuisines in their welcoming ambiance. The celebration was a success, and many thanks to Past Jays, The Rio, Hapa Sushi, Bimbamboo and Spruce Confections. We are excited to announce our new publication "Recovering from Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI): A Handbook of Hope for Our Military Warriors and Their Families". Proceeds from the sales will go to the Brain Injury Hope Foundation as part of our mission to provide emergency assistance funds to individuals with mild and moderate brain injury. We also believe that this endeavor is a tremendous opportunity to create better understanding and hope for recovery to those affected by brain injury. We thank you for your previous generous donations and your support for our fundraisers. Over the past 11 years, we have been able to assist over 300 individuals with $121,000 of financial support. Our organization is a non-profit foundation and continues to exist with an all-volunteer board. Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible. If you are interested or know of someone who would like to join our board, please advise us so that we may discuss our exciting new plans for 2010.
Again, you generous donations have positively impacted many deserving people whose lives have been dramatically changed by MTBI. The thank you notes that we have received are a testimonial to the effect of your precious gifts.
"About a year ago, when I was in darkness and crisis, your organization came through and gave me funds when I had no money to pay my rent. Thank You!"
Your donations let our beneficiaries know that YOU care about them! Your generosity can provide the inspiration that is needed to empower them through this transition into a productive and happier life. If you would so kindly make a donation, we will use this charitable gift to assist many individuals who are waiting for help. Thank you for 'being' the difference!
