The Coalition for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans (CIAV) is a national, nonpartisan partnership of organizations committed to working with and on behalf of all military, veterans, families, survivors, and providers to strengthen the existing system of care and support for all those who have been affected by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Among the many opportunities to heal, they provide Return to Work (R2W), which is a nonprofit organization with free services to newly disabled Americans, including injured soldiers.  Unlike a traditional employment agency, R2W offers unique online services with the personal touch of counselors who truly care about wounded warriors.

The Wounded Warrior Resource Center (WWRC) Web site is a Department of Defense Web site that provides wounded service members, their families, and caregivers with information they need on military facilities, health-care services, and benefits. Swords to Plowshares Iraq Veteran Project ensures that recent veterans receive the support, services, and protection they need to successfully transition home. GWOT veterans are eligible for free legal representation for VA claims and military discharge reviews, as well as for employment and training, transitional housing, social services, and benefits counseling.
